The first Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture, held on 13 December 2024, served as a platform to honour Dr Ambedkar's legacy in education and social justice. Organised by the Dr. Ambedkar Chair, at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. The theme of the chair is Dr. Ambedkar's thoughts and contribution to education in India. The venue of the program was Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, S.B. Road, Pune. The topic was "Reparative Epistemology: Rethinking Education for Social Justice," and the speaker was Prof. Suresh Babu from the Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
