Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar,
Pro Chancellor, Symbiosis International University Principal Director, Symbiosis
Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar is the Principal Director of Symbiosis Society, and Pro Chancellor of Symbiosis International University. Symbiosis International University is a multi-disciplinary, multinational, multi-cultural University having more than 45000 students from all States of India and international students from 85 countries. The Symbiosis Society not only has under its ambit the Symbiosis International University but also has K12 Schools, College of Arts and Commerce and Museums- the Afro Asian Cultural Museum and the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum & Memorial. Dr. Vidya holds a Post Graduate Degree in Medicine, a Degree in Law and Ph.D. in 'Internationalisation of Higher Education in India’.
Having presented papers at various National & International Conferences, she has numerous research publications to her credit and has also authored several books. Ranked No.14 amongst India’s top 25 Powerful Women, Dr. Vidya has been instrumental in bringing in innovative approaches to promote internationalisation of higher education in India.As a member of University Grants Commission (UGC) for two terms, Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) under Ministry of Education and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under Ministry of External Affairs, she has been a facilitator of innovative approaches to higher education in India.

Dr. Vidya has been appointed as a member of the expert group on Global Outreach of Higher Education, formulated by UGC to implement the National Education Policy 2020 that was rolled out by the Ministry of Education Govt. of India, member of the Advisory Group of Analytical and Advisory work (ASA) World Bank, Advisory Committee of the IAU for the global survey on internationalization and member of the Board of Trustees of Muscat University, Oman. She is a Chairperson of the FICCI Committee on Higher Education and serving third term. She is also the Vice President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA). Dr. Vidya has been appointed as Member of India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) Trust set up by Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Government of India, to promote the ‘Brand India’ label in overseas markets, member of the Expert Group constituted by the UGC for Development of Educational Framework for Global Citizenship in Higher Education Institutions, UGC Expert Committee constituted to prepare the guidelines for Credit-Based Courses and Internship opportunities, UGC Expert Committee to frame norms for HEls to enroll foreign students and Member of the Board of Trustees of Indian Museum, Kolkata. She has been elected as Member of the Central Governing Council of Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Member of the General Assembly of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Governing Body of Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Governing Board member of the International Sports University, Government of Maharashtra and Member of the NEP implementation committee of Government of Maharashtra. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited.

Dr. Vidya has been appointed as the first Chair of the OBREAL Global India Chapter a for a period of 3 years. She is a member on the Board of several organisations like Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Research Committee of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Public Health Foundation of India, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences Indore, Symbiosis Skills and Open University, Pune. She is a member of many corporate bodies such as Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Confederation of India Industry (CII), Mahratta Chambers of Commerce and Industries (MCCIA) and Not for profit organisations like HK Firodiya Foundation, Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation, India International Centre (IIC) & Pune International Centre (PIC) She has also been a member on many other organizations such as Independent Director on the Board of RITES Limited under Ministry of Railways, Government of India, Education Quality Upgradation and Inclusion Programme (EQUIP) Committee, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Yeshwantaro Chavan Maharashtra Open University, State Knowledge Advisory Board of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Sub-Group on Higher & Technical Education and Skill Development of Chief Minister’s Advisory Council, Government of Rajasthan to name a few. Dr. Vidya’s hard work has won her numerous awards and accolades. Her continuous endeavour to innovate and initiate has helped Symbiosis attain its present respect and admiration. Having accomplished all such feats, Dr. Vidya is now committed to shaping Indian higher education globally through her extensive work in the field of internationalisation of higher education.
Dr. R. Raman,
Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University)
Dr. Raman has a blend of corporate and academic experience. He started his career with Godrej and Boyce and then ventured into the area of consultancy with - The Leading-Edge Consulting Services.

His Passion for academics led him into teaching assignment at Vellore Institute of Technology. Carleton University's Sprott School of Business, Canada gave him the platform for global exposure in teaching Information Technology while he was handling the teaching assignment with Kohinoor Business School along with the consulting assignment as an Information Technology Architect with the Kohinoor group of companies for the various verticals including Real Estate, Hotels, Hospitals, Education and Power Generation. He also taught at S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research Mumbai.
Dr. Raman is a Computer Science and Engineering graduate from Madras University, he completed his MBA in Information Systems from the same University. He furthered his education by completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Software Marketing, M.Phil (Management) and Ph.D in Information Technology Enabled Services Strategy. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Black Belt Certified by RABQSA (Registrar Accreditation Board Quality Society of Australasia). He is also an Accredited Management Teacher, (a prestigious national recognition conferred by AIMA) and Green IT certified by ISEB.

His teaching and research area include Management Information Systems, Six Sigma for Business, IT Infrastructure Management, Market Research, IT Project Management, Management of Information Technology Enabled Services and Green IT. He has published his research finding in several refereed journals and also has presented several papers in Indian and International conferences.
Mrs. Sanjivani Shantaram Mujumdar,
Honorary Director, Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial and Museum
Mrs. Sanjivani Shantaram Mujumdar was born at Karad. Her early life was influenced by renowned educationist Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil who was the founder of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha at Satara. She has completed her B.Sc. in Zoology from Chatrapati Shivaji College, Satara. She has done her M.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Pune. She had a UGC Scholarship for Research in Embryology. She was Research Assistant to Dr. Leela Mulherkar who was the Head of Department of Zoology.
Mrs. Sanjivani Mujumdar is a founder member of Symbiosis. Since 1990, she is the Honorary Director of the Symbiosis Society’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial. She is the Director of the Afro Asian Cultural Museum, established in 2001. She is Managing Committee Member of the Symbiosis Open Education Society and the Symbiosis Foundation. She is General Body Member of Rayat Sikshan Sanstha, Satara.
She has been bestowed upon with the following awards: -

2) Acharya Atre Award by Acharya Atre Smruti Pratishtan, Pune, presented by Dr. V. M. Pandharipande, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.

3) Stree Shakti Sanman Jagar Puraskar by Shree Bhavani Pratishtan, Pune, presented by Shri Shriniwas Patil, Former Governor of Sikkim.

4) Top Management Consortium Award in the field of Education by Top Management Consortium, Pune, presented by Shri D.Y. Patil, Former Governor of Bihar.

5) Kirtan Sanjivani Pushpalata Ranade Adarsh Sahacharini Award, Pune, presented by Shri Shriniwas Patil, Former Governor of Sikkim.

5) Vishwatmak Sahajivan, an autobiography which was released by the auspicious hands of H.E. Smt. Pratibha Patil, Former President of India. The same book is translated into English namely “Universal Symbiosis”.
With her initiative some social activities are carried out by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum & Memorial.
1) Gubbare - Playground and cultural center for children up to 10 years of age. There are some indoor & some outdoor activities for these children. Along with these various festivals are celebrated, where parents are also participated.

2) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Library - Dr. Babasaheb’s love for books is well known. More than 7,000 books are available for the readers.

3) Study Centre – Established for students coming from rural areas to Pune. About 500 to 600 student’s study in this study centre who are appearing for various competitive exams such as IAS, Deputy Collector, PSI, Sales Tax Inspector, Tahasildar, Forest Officer, etc through MPSC & UPSC. The study centre is open from 6.30 am to 10.00 pm all days of the week. Many students are selected for various government posts.

4) Computer and Mobile Training Programs - Specifically for senior citizens. The centre has entered in its 8th year of service and facilities to senior citizens. Senior citizen centre provides training of basic knowledge of computers and mobile phone applications to them. Mobile Banking and its application course have evoked a good & continuous response from the senior citizens. Students of earn & learn scheme teach these senior citizens.

5) Earn & Learn Scheme: Started ‘Earn & Learn Scheme’ for our study centre students. This scheme gives financial support to the deserving students as well as experience of practical work in the museum and library and various activities of the museum. A good number of needy students are benefited of this scheme.
Dr. Jyoti Chandiramani,
Director, Symbiosis School of Economics & Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
Prof Jyoti Chandiramani has completed her BA (1980) and MA (1982) in Economics from Bombay University. She pursued Diploma in Higher Education and later Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule University -'Foreign Direct Investments and Corporate Response: An Empirical Study with Reference to the Structure & Growth of a Select Sample of Firms in India'
Prof Jyoti has been the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences(FOHSS) since June 2010 as well as the Director - Symbiosis School of Economics.at the Symbiosis International (Deemed University. Presently in the fourth term as a Dean, she also Heads the Symbiosis Centre for Urban Studies (SCUS)- 2022.
Having taught a number of courses over the last 40 years: which includes Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Indian Banking and Financial System in India, Indian Economy, International Economic Cooperation, Managerial Economics, International Trade, International Economic Environment, Indian Financial System, Trade Policy, Trade Aid and Development, International Organization and Regional Cooperation, Urban Economic Development, Urban Mobility. She has also Conducted Management Development Programs which includes: Godrej (Mumbai), Zensar (Pune), Kalyani Semco (Pune), WNS (Pune), Mphasis (Pune & Bangalore), Cognizant (Pune), K Element (Chennai), Wipro (Belapur& Mumbai), Sahara Group (Amby Valley), EXL Services (Pune), Intel, Aztec, HP (Bangalore), Deloitte (Hyd) and Deutsche Bank (Bangalore & Mumbai), Continum Solutions (Delhi, Hyd) Dr Reddys (Thane, Indore), John Deere (Pune).

Over the course of her career she has had the privilege to be a member of the Forum for Development Cooperation (FIDC) and a member of the Steering Committee for University Connect for G 20.She has been invited by Macquarie University as a short term Fellow in the summer of 2018, Niti Aayog as a member of the Working Group on "City Governance and Smart Cities" (2017), invited to the 5th ASEM Rectors’ Conference, as a Mentor for the Students’ Forum (ARC5), organized by Charles University and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) at Prague (2016), appointed as a member of the Fourth Estate of the Manipur University (2016) and invited as a part of the Indian delegation to Pakistan for the Tenth South Asian Economic Students Meet (SAESM) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (2013). In 2015, Prof. Jyoti was conferred with the iCongo instituted Gold Karmaveer Chakra and Rex Karmaveer Global Fellowship in Delhi, for her contributions to the field of education.
Research areas:
Prof. Jyoti research is presently focused on issues associated with Urban Economic Development (urban poverty, urban infrastructure, urban mobility, urban policy, etc.). Besides, she keenly studies and follows trends in International Development Cooperation – from the MDGs to the SDGs.

Prof. Jyoti has been presently working on Pune centric cases wrt urban and other development issues. She has also been guiding a number of PhD scholars at the University.

Prof. Ajay Choudhary,
Professor, Dr Ambedkar Chair, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune.
Dr. Ajay Choudhary, presently serves as the Chair Professor at the Dr. Ambedkar Chair at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in India. Prior to this, Dr. Ajay Choudhary was a professor, engaged with the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Hislop College in Nagpur August 2008 to November 2023. He also served as a Research Assistant at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi 2006 to 2007. Furthermore, Dr. Choudhary took on the role of a Global Studies Coordinator at the Centre for the Study of Social Systems (CSSS) within Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) January 2006 to July 2006. He pursued his academic journey, spanning from a Master's degree to a PhD, at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. Dr. Choudhary has demonstrated his research acumen by presenting papers at national and international seminars and conferences.
His notable contributions extend to the publication of research papers in prestigious national and international journals. Dr. Choudhary possesses a rich background in social development research and has effectively orchestrated numerous seminars and conferences. His academic interests revolve around Classical Sociological Thinkers, Alfred Schutz's Phenomenology, Sociology of caste and Education, Identity, and Social Movement.
Dr. Hemangi Kadlak,
Assistant Professor, Dr. Ambedkar Chair, Symbiosis International Deemed University, Pune.
Dr. Hemangi Kadlak, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. She earned her PhD from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai and holds an MPhil degree in Social Work from Bishop Heber College, Bharatidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Dr. Kadlak also obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, with honors in Sociology from Mumbai University during her B.A. studies. Following her MSW, Dr. Kadlak gained valuable experience working with various NGOs. She has a rich academic background, having taught at institutions like SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, Vellore Institute of Technology in Tamil Nadu, Amity University, Mumbai, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.
Dr. Kadlak is a prolific researcher, with a notable focus on sanitation community issues, the youth of sanitation workers, and their education. Her work has been published in esteemed national and international journals and edited books. Notably, her paper on women sanitation workers is preserved for study at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She's made significant international contributions, including participation in student exchange programs at Keel University in the UK in 2013, and an International Study Tour to Columbia University, USA, in 2015. She also served as an Independent Research Scholar at the Global Centre for Global Development and Sustainability (GDS) at Brandeis University, USA, in 2016. In addition to her research, Dr. Kadlak has reviewed papers for journals published by SAGE Publication and BMJ Global Health Journal. She is an Advisory Committee Member for the project "Global advocacy for health, safety, and dignity of workers in sanitation," initiated by SNV, WaterAid, ILO, WHO, and the World Bank since February 2021. Further, she has undertaken the role of Principal Investigator for the summer 2021 and 2022 semester research fellowship at the International Socioeconomics Laboratory Board, Harvard University, USA. She actively participates in academic conferences, often chairing sessions at different colleges and delivering lectures. She also conducts training sessions for community leaders to enhance their capacity.
Her primary research interests revolve around gender, education, intersectionality, intergenerational mobility, caste, and the impact of parents' occupation on their children.
